The immediate future of Johnny Marr's guitar playing is up in the air.
The Smiths rocker-turned-solo artist tells "NME" he broke his hand last week while he was out running in London. Marr says he's obviously hoping there won't be any long term damage, and is still planning to be ready to go in time for a pair of U.K. shows in Leeds on March 24th and 25th.
He also isn't ruling out the following string of South American gigs, but he admits that it's all "a bit up in the air" at this point.
Marr is still promoting his debut solo effort "The Messenger," but he says he plans to put out the follow-up album in September.
