Preschoolers At Risk Of Hyperactivity May Benefit From Behavior Training

Parents of preschool-age children at risk for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder may want to check out behavior training before medications.  A new analysis of past studies shows medications improved young children's behaviors but mood and growth problems were a concern. 

Training that teaches parents to understand their children's needs improved kids' behavior, without side effects. The new study analyzed 55 students from 1980 through 2011 that reviewed the different treatments among preschoolers at risk for ADHD.
