Former Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar told Eddie Trunk that he is open to performing with Van Halen. Hagar is performing songs from his entire career, including Van Halen. Sammy explains the situation:
“I would invite Ed, any day. I want to make that plain and clear. I would invite those guys to play anytime. I would be in that band still, if we could get along. We don’t get along. It’s plain and simple. A lot of people don’t get along.”
Hagar does perform with former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony. They are both members of Chickenfoot. Hagar is fine with performing Van Halen songs with Anthony and other musicians. He says that with himself and Anthony, "you're pretty close. As close as they are now."
Van Halen released an album and toured in 2012 with their original singer, David Lee Roth. In 2013, the band will play a handful of shows across the world.
