Rush May Perform With Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins At Rock Hall

Rush will finally be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month.  They will be inducted by The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins.  Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President and CEO Joel Peresman hopes that means The Foo Fighters will perform with Rush.  Peresman tells Rolling Stone:

"Dave and Taylor were one of the first people we thought about to induct Rush.  They said 'yes' in about two seconds. I'm hopeful [they'll play together].  More than a few times in the past, people have got caught in the moment and decide to perform."

Grohl was the drummer for Nirvana and Hawkins is Foo Fighters' drummer.  With those two, and with Rush's Neil Peart, three of the world's best drummers will be on stage together.

Randy Newman, who will also be inducted, will perform with John Fogerty and Jackson Browne.  Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson will pay tribute to the late Donna Summer.  The late blues legend Albert King will be honored by Gary Clark Jr. and John Mayer.
