John Fogerty will release an album of classic Creedence Clearwater Revivalsongs which will feature several special guests. The singer-songwriter's new album is called Wrote a Song For Everyone.
Special guests on the record include Bob Seger, Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, and Jennifer Hudson. Fogerty and mixing engineer Bob Clearmountain have been working on the project since 2010, because John wanted to record with everybody in studio. He tells Rolling Stone, "I didn't want to just mail people tracks, because then everyone would just do 'Proud Mary' like the old record."
The album will be Fogerty's ninth since Creedence Clearwater Revival broke up. But, it is the first time he has revisited the songs in studio. Fogerty had many legal battles over the songs and was even sued for ripping himself off. But, all of that is over. He says, "I wrote all these songs. They're back home with Daddy, like they should be."
