Elton John Recorded For Queens of the Stone Age Album

Elton John recorded with the Queens of the Stone Age for the band's new album.  Elton and Dave Grohl, who is guesting hosting Chelsea Lately this week, broke the news Wednesday night.  Grohl is the drummer on the new Queens of the Stone Age album and told the audience that he and Elton recorded something together, recently.  Then, Elton revealed that it was for the new Queens of the Stone Age album.

Grohl told the audience what the process was like, "I remember you walking in and him being, like, 'Have you got a ballad for me?' and we were just like, 'no, we do not have a ballad for you.'"

Much of the interview featured Grohl and John slinging compliments at each other.  Speaking of Grohl, Elton John said:

"I've been a fan of yours for so long.  I can honestly say that there isn't a musician worth his salt that doesn't like this man...doesn't admire him for his musicianship...I love him, because he's such a fan of music.  He's got so many different projects he plays on.  He's got so many band's he a part of and he he takes the time to champion people."
