Bruce Springsteen Working On New Album

Bruce Springsteen has already recorded a few tracks for his followup to his 2012 album, Wrecking Ball.  Speaking to Rolling Stone, The Boss revealed that he has recorded with Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello while he subbed for Steve Van Zandt in Australia.

Springsteen says that this was the first time he's recorded new music while on tour.  Bruce explains, "We've never had a recording session during a tour in our lives. We did a couple of things that I wanted to put down. So that was very exciting. And being with Tommy was exciting. The band – Steven, Nils, all those guys – continues to be a source of inspiration for me."

Currently, Springsteen is in the middle of an European tour.  He finishes up in late July and will take a short break before heading to the studio.

Since 2002's The Rising, Springsteen has released six albums.  He's excited about the stretch he's had with the E Street Band, "This has been the best ten, twelve years we've ever had."
